INC-1 marks the beginning of two-year long negotiations to reach an international agreements to end plastic pollution, as intended in the UNEA-5.2 resolution 5/14. In this session, delegates from around the world will discuss potential elements and structure for the new plastics treaty, drawing from various currently active international agreements and the latest plastics science.
