View the policy documentPlastic ACTion (PACT) is a WWF-Singapore initiative to help businesses change the way they use plastics. The purpose is to provide solutions and resources, empowering businesses to reduce their plastic footprint, using the Circular Economy principles. The primary driver for this policy was environmental, PACT was also established in line with the overall vision of No Plastics in Nature by 2030. Plastic ACTion (PACT) is a WWF-Singapore business initiative (WWF – World Wide Fund For Nature, 2022). There was insufficient evidence available to complete the evaluation framework at the time of the assessment. However, some evidence showed that this policy has likely had some positive effect on reducing plastic pollution by increasing reuse and decrease the use of plastic items (Beitien, Lin, & Lin, 2022).

Through an analytical framework, we've reviewed over 100 plastic policies. These reviews determine the effectiveness of policies in reducing plastic pollution and we offer recommendations in light of this evidence, to enhance future policy making.
