Key FindingsView the policy document
This policy prohibits the manufacturing, importation, use and sale of plastic carrier bags and single-use plastic items. Local businesses were given three months to transition to more sustainable alternatives leading to criticism of the short time for adjustment. This SUPP ban was not analysed due to insufficient evidence.
