View the policy documentThis policy aims to source 100% of their guest packaging from renewable, recycled or certified (specifically in the context of paper/cardboard) sources, and to recycle guest packaging in 100% of McDonald’s restaurants by 2025. McDonalds has made moderate progress towards its goals, however there is still a way to go until these goals are met by 2025.

These reviews determine the effectiveness of policies in reducing plastic pollution and we offer recommendations in light of this evidence, to enhance future policy making.
