View the policy documentProhibits the importation, manufacture and sale of expanded polystyrene products and the sale, use or provision of expanded polystyrene containers by food service establishments. The policy promotes the use of biodegradable, recyclable and other environmentally-friendly containers for food products instead of expanded polystyrene. This policy failed due to poor communication with stakeholders and no government-led exploration of alternatives
